There's Already a Big Issue With Bedard in the Blackhawks Organization
A rookie player in the NHL is going to face challenges, and Connor Bedard is no exception.
As a 1st line center, he plays for a team that finished near the bottom in the NHL season 2022-2023.
What is Connor Bedard doing?
1. Awful turnover attempting to be fancy
2. The back check then leaves his assignment wide open in front of the net and he decides to skate around in a circle. As a Center, play center.
His Defense is a major issue that needs to be addressed..
The team has struggled defensively due to a poor blueline, but that should not stop Bedard from helping.
Nevertheless, recent footage shows that Bedard has not been up to par in terms of his defensive duties.
A center has to be responsible on both sides of the ice, distribute pucks, make players, and be a dynamic player on ice, as Bedard has been.
However, he still has some shortcomings in the NHL, which he needs to work on.
A big mistake he makes in the video is attempting to make a fancy play instead of playing practical, resulting in a turnover and a missed backcheck.
It is imperative that Luke Richardson steps in and corrects the course immediately.
